I am a 33 year old, living in Virginia's beautiful Shenandoah Valley. Hubby is also 33. We spent 3 years (1 year on our own and 2 years of fertility treatment) trying to have a family. After 2 miscarriages (IVF cycles) we found my husband is a balanced translocation carrier (a chromosome issue). We finally had a successful IVF cycle using PGD and our twin boys were born in July 2011.
I never thought I would be one of those people that randomly had a baby after all the infertility treatment we went through. We were basically told that our odds of that happening were worse than being struck by lightening. But lo and behold, our little girl was conceived naturally (quite the surprise) and was born in March 2014.
